About Us
Realms of Adventure takes place in a high-fantasy, high-magic setting. The game provides an intricate (though easy to understand) rules system that is suitable for any level of experience in LARPing. Over the course of a weekend, you’ll be treated to boffer-style combat, an interactive magic system, an immersive setting, and engaging plots. All of this action takes place on a beautiful privately-rented campground.
When creating a character, you have a choice of over 14 races. These choices include fantasy staples such as Elves, Dwarves, and Pixies, as well as races unique to the game such as the reptilian Agorians or cat-like Kelonians. There are also over a dozen different human cultures to choose from. You will further be able to pick from 9 unique character classes including Mage, Rogue, and Monk. We hope you’ll join us so that you may delve into our robust system including over a hundred different skills and hundreds of spells. We hope you’ll join us in bringing your character to life!

What is LARP?
LARP stands for Live Action Role-Playing, a fully immersive experience where you don’t just play a character—you become them.
If you’ve ever played tabletop RPGs or video games where you control a character’s fate, imagine stepping into that world for real. In LARP, there’s no controller, no dice—just you, your choices, and the world around you.
When you step onto the game site, you’re entering a living, breathing fantasy setting where every interaction is real. If an orc attacks, it won’t be pixels on a screen—it’ll be a costumed cast member, complete with armor, prosthetics, and battle cries. Combat is resolved with safe foam weapons (boffer swords, axes, spears, and more), while magic is cast using small thrown packets representing spells.
Unlike traditional games where you tell a Game Master what you’re doing, in LARP, you physically act it out. Want to make a dramatic speech? Go for it. Planning to challenge a rival to a duel? Draw your sword. There are no rewinds or redo buttons—your words and actions matter.
LARP is like improvisational theater meets open-world adventure. There’s no script, no set outcome—you and your fellow players create the story as it unfolds. Whether you become a valiant knight, a cunning rogue, a wise mage, or a shadowy assassin, your choices shape the world around you.
At Realms of Adventure, we transform a rustic campsite into a medieval fantasy village, filled with intriguing characters, thrilling quests, and unexpected encounters. You might find yourself hunting monsters, uncovering ancient secrets, leading armies, or forming alliances in political intrigue. Some of the most memorable moments aren’t written by the game masters—they come from the stories you create yourself.
So, who will you become? The hero? The villain? Something in between? The adventure is yours to live.
Who Can Play?
Realms of Adventure is open to participants ages 16 and up. Players aged 16 and 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate. Our community includes players of all ages—from teens to veterans in their 50s and 60s! Some families even attend their first events together, making it a shared adventure.

Our History & Ownership
Realms of Adventure began in 2003, founded by Michael Riccardi, the original author of the core rules and setting. In September 2015, David Rosenberg and Ryan Powell took ownership, having been passionate players for over 12 years before stepping into leadership roles.
As of 2025, Julie Quant and Steve Wallace are the proud owners of Realms of Adventure, continuing the legacy of immersive storytelling, community building, and epic adventures. They are committed to preserving the spirit of the game while bringing fresh ideas to enhance the experience for both longtime players and newcomers alike.
